Frock Design.
Aslam u Alaikum,
Today I will share with you the very latest design for August 14, which you can easily make for any event.

Materials Required for the Frock
This frock is for a baby girl aged 7 to 8 years.
I used 2 meters of fabric, 4 meters of lace, 7 meters of zigzag cord, and mirrors.
Cutting the Lower Part
First, we’ll cut the lower part.
For this, I folded the front and back fabric into 4 folds.
Cutting the Bodice
Now we’ll cut the bodice.
Again, I folded the front and back fabric into 4 folds.
For shoulder cutting, we’ll take a 6.inch width, mark it, and draw a long line.
For the armhole, we’ll also take 6 inches, mark the length, and draw a box.
Then at 7 inches, I’ll mark the chest.

At 6 inches, I’ll mark for fitting.
Join the chest and fitting marks together and apply fitting there.
Then mark 2 inches out for extra fabric.
Now we’ll cut it.
Cutting the Sleeves
After cutting the bodice, we’ll move to sleeves.
I folded the fabric into four folds, with length 17 inches and width 9 inches.
The width is a bit more.
Set the step at “Ker inch” (unclear term) and mark the side.
Then cut the sleeve according to shape.
Preparing the Bodice
Take the front side of the bodice, fold it, and press it well.
Fold a 1.5-inch margin, then press it.
Now fold the fabric 2 inches, press it again, and repeat the process.
After unfolding, iron marks will appear, which will help in placing the zigzag cord easily.
Marking for Zigzag Cord
Before placing the cord, mark the fabric.
The first mark is at the center, then 10 inches down.
From the center, mark zigzag lines at specific distances (some phrases unclear).
Mark the second line 10 inches below, and repeat.
Each line will have mirror placements.
Stitching the Cord
After marking, stitch the cord up to the marked points.
I’ve stitched the cord.
Cutting the Neck
Now we’ll cut the neckline.
I used interfacing (buckram) with 7.5-inch width and 4.5-inch length.
Curve the neckline inside the box.
Now cut the neckline.
Stitching the Neck
Paste the cut neckline piece on extra fabric, leaving a half-inch seam.
Fold the neck piece to the back side and finish it with neat stitching.
Attaching Mirrors and Tassels
After stitching, attach mirrors to all points of the cord ends.
Add tassels to the center mirrors.
All mirrors are attached — the front side is ready.
Preparing the Back Side
Then take a 3 to 4-inch wide strip, mark a center line, and stitch along it.
Press and fold it again — a cut for the zip is now ready.
Attaching the Zip
Now take the zip and place it on the lower side, stitch it along the edge.
I added three center pleats.
Final Assembly
Now the sleeves and bodice are ready.
The same design on sleeves will be used for the hem of the frock.
I added pleats and stitched the side fitting.
On the third zigzag line, I added mirrors at normal distance.
Final Touches
The frock is now complete.
I added a simple lace to the back, and for tying, I attached cords at the back.
This improves the fitting of the frock.
For the trouser, I added a single lace line and gave a green cord touch.
