Eid-ul-Azha (Bakra Eid) is an Arabic word which means “Feast of Sacrifice“.May Allah bless the Muslims with two Eids, Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Azha.

Both Eids are celebrated with great devotion and respect. After Ramadan, while Eid-ul-Adha is celebrated.While sacrifice is performed on all three days of Eid-ul-Azha.In this article we will talk about Eid-ul-Adha.
Day of qurbai (sacrifice)
The day of Eid-ul-Azha is very important for every Muslim because on this day sacrifices are made in the way of Allah.Qurbani is done after Eid al-Adha prayer. Sacrifice of Eid-ul-Adha is obligatory on the status of Sahib.Cows, camels, and goats are sacrificed.The qurbai meat is distributed among poor relatives.

The last Prophet of Mercy in the Holy Qur’an..Allah Almighty said,”O Beloved we have given you a lot of good, pray and sacrifice, your enemy will remain nameless and unmarked.The Prophet said to Rahmat that the zil Hajj, the work that Allah loves the most is the shedding of blood.Prophet Rahmat liked this practice very much. In the Prophet’s house, they used to make two sacrifices, one from themselves and one from the Ummah.
The Holy Prophet said to Asma (r.a.t.a)that if you spend unaccountably in the way of Allah, the Lord will also give you unaccountable.
Memory of Sacrifice
This Eid is celebrated in memory of the eternal sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim and Hazrat Ismail (peace be upon them).

We should all develop a taste for sacrifice.This sacrifice teaches us this
” That when Allah’s order comes, then one should go beyond all limits to obey His order”
