Good morning everyone! I’m at the airport, super excited because I’m flying to the Maldives!

The flight from Bangalore to Malé was under two hours, and as Indians, we don’t need a visa—just a passport stamp, and you’re in!

Of course, I forgot sunscreen and had to buy an expensive one at the airport (don’t be like me). This airport is honestly stunning—right outside is the bluest water I’ve ever seen. So cute!

A Nostalgic Speedboat Ride

The speedboat ride made me super nostalgic. The Maldives was actually the first international place I visited as a child. I was maybe four or five and had my first ever speedboat ride here—it brought back so many memories.

I just arrived at the resort where I’ll be spending the next few days.

Checking In: A Dreamy Water Villa

Before I get into all the details, I’m starving. Time for lunch! The food was so good—especially the dessert. I’m staying in one of the water villas and just checked into my room. It’s absolutely beautiful and massive!

There’s a cozy bedroom, a big TV (which I probably won’t use), and they left such a sweet welcome gift: chocolates, wine, and fruit.

Outside, there’s a staircase leading right into the water—I think I’m going for a swim right now. This place is just breathtaking.

Staying at Sun Siyam Olhuveli

I’m staying at Sun Siyam Olhuveli for the first two nights, and I’ll be spending the rest of my seven-night trip across four of their properties.

This whole vacation was curated by GT Holidays, a travel company that does customized tours. I booked a Cordelia Cruise with them before and had a great experience. They’re based in South India and I can genuinely recommend them!

Sunset Vibes & New Friends

I feel incredibly grateful for this opportunity. The ocean here is calling my name—so I went swimming right outside my villa. The water is warm and peaceful, and I truly feel like my happiest self when I’m in the water.

As the sun began to set, I headed to the bar with an infinity pool to catch the sunset. The sky looked unreal, like a postcard.

I’m also here with a group but hadn’t met them until this evening—excited to see what we do together!

Day 2: Paradise Morning, Wildlife & Snorkeling

Good morning from paradise!

I woke up to the dreamiest view—right from my bed, I could see the ocean. I’m staying at Olhuveli for one more night, and I have about five or six more days in the Maldives.

After breakfast, I saw so much wildlife—baby sharks, tropical birds, and tons of greenery. I love being around nature like this. Spring is when I come alive, and fall is when I reflect—being here feels so grounding.

Exploring the Resort & Water Activities

After breakfast, we explored the resort. I also went swimming again. The resort has a bunch of water activities, and since I’m on an all-inclusive package, a lot is included: snorkeling gear, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, and canoeing.

Time to Snorkel

Time to snorkel! I got my snorkel and skipped the life jacket (I can swim decently). I was hoping to spot some baby sharks, but no luck this time—they tend to be closer to the edge of the reef. Might try again after lunch.

Dolphin Cruise, Kayaking & Dinner

A Peaceful Afternoon

After lunch, we headed out on a dolphin-watching cruise. I had an hour to spare, so I relaxed in a hammock and went for a calm kayaking session—the water was unbelievably peaceful.

Sunset Dolphin Watching

The dolphin cruise was incredible! We saw so many dolphins, and although they were quick, they were playful and fun to watch. The two-hour ride ended with a stunning sunset over the ocean.

Dinner & Final Night at Olhuveli

Back in my room, I showered and got ready for dinner. This all-inclusive package covers all meals, drinks (including some alcoholic ones), and even a stocked mini bar. It’s been a dream!

This is our last night at this resort, and while I’m excited for the next one, I’m going to miss this beautiful villa.
