1๏ธโƒฃ Natural Bronzing

All right, I heard about this girl. She wasn’t eating very well and she never tanned very well and she used to try all kinds of natural bronzers and self-tanning lotions and they had cringeworthy ingredients. She was just hoping to get a little golden skin.

Now she’s just so excited because she tans a lot easier these days, but for those days when you want a slightly more bronzy look, head to the kitchen and here’s how you do it.

Mix cocoa powder, cinnamon, and arrowroot. That’s an optional ingredient. You want to mix these three ingredients until you get the shade that you like.

For some, this is going to be at least half cocoa powder and 30 to 40 percent cinnamon and then a little bit of arrowroot.

If you have a lighter complexion, you’re probably going to want to go heavier on the arrowroot and lighter on the cocoa powder and lighter on the cinnamon.

Experiment with these three ingredients until you get the right skin tone. Store this in a small jar or a container and you can brush it onto your skin for that instant bronze look.

And on top of that, it smells so good. You could also try mixing this into lotion for a liquid version.

2๏ธโƒฃ Naturally White Teeth

All right, this might be shocking, but you’re going to want to use strawberries, right? I know they’re red.

Baking soda too. Highly effective, a natural teeth whitener.

Oil pulling, swishing oil in your mouth and then spitting it out is also an effective way to whiten your teeth.

Here’s how you can give this a try:
Make a paste of equal parts mashed or pureed strawberries and baking soda. Put it in a mouth guard or a tooth tray and leave it on your teeth for up to 30 minutes.

Repeat a couple times a week until you have teeth that are as white as you want.

To speed things up, you can swish with one tablespoon of olive oil each night for about 20 minutes and then spit it out and brush well.

This supposedly helps remove toxins too. We’re not so sure. We can’t vouch for that, but we can certainly vouch for the whitening capabilities.

3๏ธโƒฃ A Sugar Scrub

Sugar, not so good for your body. However, it is great for your skin.

Since your skin doesn’t metabolize and store glucose or fructose like your fat cells do, sugar is a great way to tighten and smooth your skin.

Sugar scrubs in stores are expensive. Sugar scrubs from your kitchen, not so much.

Here’s how you do it:

Mix equal parts of white or brown sugar and olive oil or almond oil.

You can add essential oils of your choice as an optional fragrance and additive to these sugar scrubs.

Then to exfoliate your skin, you simply rub the mixture onto your skin and massage it in for a couple of minutes.

4๏ธโƒฃ Food Facial Mask

No need to drop a lot of money at the spa for great-looking skin.

Just rub breakfast on your face instead. Many foods are also beneficial for your skin too.

Here’s how you do it:

Use honey, plain yogurt, or whipped egg whites by themselves or in combination for a great toning facial mask that leaves your skin glowing.

5๏ธโƒฃ Oil Cleansing

Use olive oil, coconut, almond oil, castor oil. You can clean your skin with these oils instead of harsh soaps.

This will cleanse your skin naturally and keep from pulling out natural oils.

One recommended blend:

25% castor oil (you don’t want to use that one straight) and 75% sweet almond oil.

I recommend using coconut oil personally. I also like to bite open a vitamin E capsule and mix the two together.

Then I place it on my skin before I go to bed overnight.

Another great method:

Rub a small amount of your oil combination onto your dry face. Massage it into your skin for several minutes. This will really get the blood flowing to the skin on your face.

To remove, soak a clean washcloth in some steamy water and place it on your face until it starts to cool.

Then you can gently use that washcloth to wipe your face. Feels so refreshing.

6๏ธโƒฃ Natural Hair Conditioner

For an occasional hair strengthening treat, mix up some other breakfast foods in a natural hair mask.

This one certainly isn’t for everyday use but it sure makes your hair shiny and smooth and it even works on really curly hair according to a lucky friend of mine with some lovely curls.

Here’s how you do it:

Mix one banana and one avocado and puree it until it’s smooth.

It’s a great way to get rid of those ripe bananas or maybe overly ripe avocados. I’ve been throwing them away and what a waste of money.

Avocados are so expensive. Add some essential oils if your banana isn’t fragrant enough.

You can comb it through your clean hair, damp hair or even get it all messed up in your hair and put a shower cap on.
