Samsung Galaxy A Series Launch in Pakistan: Full Overview
Introduction
Assalam-o-Alaikum!
Samsung has officially launched its Galaxy A series in Pakistan.
Today, I have with me the Samsung Galaxy A26, A36, and A56.
we’ll mainly focus on the Galaxy A26, because I believe it will be the most popular model of this new lineup.
However, if you’re interested, I’ll soon upload detailed videos about the A36 and A56 as well.
All three models are now available, and I’ll display their exact prices here.
Focus on Samsung Galaxy A26
Let’s shift our attention to the Samsung Galaxy A26 and why I think it’s an important addition to the Pakistani market.
Samsung has really stepped up their game this time.
Instead of sticking with the usual processors offered by other brands in this price range, Samsung has provided a powerful 5G chipset — the Exynos 1380 — which is much stronger than MediaTek’s G100.
This is a significant move for the brand.
Samsung Galaxy A26 Pricing and Design
Before diving into more details, let’s first take a look at the phone itself.
The Galaxy A26 has been launched at a price of Rs. 84,999 with a single variant featuring 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
Being a Samsung device, it comes with a Super AMOLED display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and 1080p resolution.
Notably, both the front and back are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Plus, offering premium durability.
Although the frame feels like metal to the touch, it’s actually made from plastic — which Samsung claims improves drop protection.
Generally, plastic does handle falls better.
Ports and Buttons
At the top, there’s a noise cancellation microphone, and on the sides, you’ll find the volume rocker and fingerprint scanner.
Despite having a Super AMOLED screen, the A26 features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor instead of an in-display one — something worth noting in this price segment.
At the bottom, the phone includes a Type-C port that supports 25W fast charging, a speaker grill, and a SIM slot.
Speaking of the SIM tray, it’s a hybrid setup — allowing either two SIM cards or one SIM plus a microSD card.
However, with 256GB storage, most users may prefer using the dual SIM option without needing additional memory.
Performance and Software
Now, the biggest highlight of the A26 is undoubtedly its processor.
Samsung has equipped this phone with the same Exynos 1380 chipset that powered the Galaxy A35 last year — a phone priced at Rs. 120,000 back then!
Now, you’re getting that same performance in a phone costing around Rs. 85,000 — a huge leap forward.
Additionally, the A26 runs Samsung’s latest One UI 7, and the company promises 6 years of software updates, meaning it will get One UI 8, 9, 10, and so on, keeping your phone fresh for a long time.
Benchmarks and Gaming Performance
In terms of performance, the A26 shows a 17% improvement in single-core tasks and a 44% boost in multi-core performance compared to the previous Galaxy A25.
While other brands are making only minor upgrades like from G99 to G100, Samsung has made a major jump here.
I’ve always been considered a Samsung skeptic — many even accuse me of favoring Apple — but Samsung has truly impressed me with the A26.
The AnTuTu score is around 600,000, which is excellent for this range.
The PUBG gaming experience is also extremely smooth.
Camera Setup
Now let’s talk cameras.
On the back, you get a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro camera.
The front camera is 13MP.
If you’re a fan of Samsung’s camera color science, you’ll be very happy.
Although the A26 may not have the absolute best camera in its segment, it still ranks comfortably among the top options.
The low-light photography is especially impressive, capturing great shots even in extremely dim settings.
Video Recording Capabilities
Another key feature: the Galaxy A26 supports 4K video recording from the back camera — a capability not often found in this price range.
The front camera, however, is limited to 1080p recording.
Upcoming Reviews
This phone supports features like Pro Video Mode, Night Mode, and — thanks to One UI 7 — Google’s Circle to Search and other powerful tools now available on Samsung’s flagship S25 series.
AI Features
Samsung didn’t just focus on performance this time; they’ve packed in AI features too.
The A26 offers Object Eraser, Reflection Removal, and Shadow Removal tools for photo editing.
There’s also face beautification effects and color tuning options, allowing you to selectively adjust colors in your photos — all thanks to built-in AI.
Water and Dust Resistance
Another big plus: the phone is IP67 certified for water and dust resistance, meaning it can survive rain or light water splashes without issues.
Battery and Charging
The Galaxy A26 carries a 5000mAh battery, which has been Samsung’s standard for a while.
However, other brands have started pushing higher battery capacities like 5600mAh or even 5800mAh, so Samsung could have improved in this area.
Charging speed is also capped at 25W, which again is a bit behind the competition.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I’m quite surprised by Samsung this time.
In a market where many brands are stuck with old processors like the G100, Samsung is offering something genuinely powerful and future-proof.
Let me know in the comments what you think about the new Galaxy A series!
That’s it for now — Allah Hafiz!
