Introduction to TECNO CAMON 40

Now you must be thinking that you have shown TECNO CAMON 40 PRO which I have here. So where did this unit come from?
Well, technically both the models were launched at the same time and small things have been changed in both the models.
But the reason why I am showing you TECNO CAMON 40 is because those things are small, and this mobile phone TECNO CAMON 40 PRO you get to see in the price tag.
Both the mobile phones come in a very close price tag

You get TECNO CAMON 40 PRO for Rs 66,000.
But if you don’t want to spend more than Rs 60,000 and you are the type of person who says I want to buy a phone for Rs 60,000, then TECNO CAMON 40 is also available for you.

Interesting Display Feature

Another reason because of which TECNO CAMON 40 can be very interesting is its display.
Let me explain to you what I am talking about.

First of all, there is a New Arrival sticker on it.
But both the phones came together.
I don’t know why there is a New Arrival sticker on one of them.
This one was also new. What’s the fault of this one? It must be hurting you, right?

Hardware Specifications

Okay, let’s talk about the hardware specifications of this mobile phone.

It has 8GB RAM, 256GB internal storage variant which is launched in the Pakistani market.
The color of this mobile phone comes from the name GLOW GREEN — Emerald Glow Green.
It has a color called Glacier White which is my favorite. But the unit that we have is GLOW GREEN.

In this, you get to see MediaTek Helio G100 which at this point is a family processor.
But let me tell you the problem of people — in our country, when something becomes a hate, then it becomes a hate.
When something starts being praised, then it starts getting black.
Now MediaTek Helio G100 although it is coming in a lot of models and at this point there is no new processor, but in the Rs 60,000 price tag, this is one of the most powerful.
In fact, the most powerful processor which you can buy from any brand.
In the range of Rs 60,000, no other model in the Pakistani market is more powerful than this.
I think there is one model, but usually this is the processor that I would recommend if someone is spending Rs 60,000.

Other than this, you get a 5200mAh battery in which you get the latest 5-year durability battery warranty.
This is not a warranty, but according to Tecno, they have tested that this battery will work for 5 years. You won’t have any problem.

Dolby Atmos stereo dual speakers have been mentioned.

Unboxing the TECNO CAMON 40

Let’s take this unit out of the box.

On the front side, the 50MP Sony sensor has also been mentioned.
AMOLED display has also been mentioned.
IP66 water resistance has also been mentioned.

First of all, you get to see your device.
Further in the box, you get to see a warranty sticker.
You get to see a case which as always provides 12 plus 1 month warranty.
You get to see a case.
To be very honest, I liked the Pro case better than this.

Charging is exactly the same of both the mobile phones: 45W.
You also get a type A to type C cable in the box.

Major Changes from Pro Version

The biggest change if you look at it:

First of all, the back of both the phones is exactly the same.
You get to see the same red indicator.
LED flash is also present.
50MP Sony sensor is also present.
This sensor provides very high-quality results in this price segment.
We have already tested it.

The upper side is also the same.

On the front side, you get to see 120Hz AMOLED display.

The interesting thing here is that in the Pro version you get to see curved AMOLED and here you get to see flat AMOLED.
Technically, this mobile phone comes in a lower price tag than the Tecno Camon 40 Pro.

But I know a lot of people who won’t buy this mobile phone because it comes in a lower price tag but because they have a family feud with.

Basically, there are a lot of people who like flat displays and to be very honest, I personally prefer flat displays over curved AMOLED.

They look premium but I think the look of this mobile phone is more sleek.

You get to see a polycarbonate body.

Protection Features

Another difference that you get to see in this phone is that the protection given in this phone is not Corning Gorilla Glass 7i but Panda Glass.

According to our testing, Panda Glass performs as good as Corning Gorilla Glass.
But obviously, Corning Gorilla Glass is more popular in the market so most people prefer it.

But if it comes to protection then we will definitely test this phone because our aim is to show you how this mobile phone will perform.

I am not only throwing this mobile phone because it has Panda Glass protection but I am also throwing it because this mobile phone comes with SGS military grade shock resistance.

It is a dangerous word and we have seen it in old Tecno phones that Tecno phones are generally very strong.

Performance and Features

Internally, this mobile phone is exactly the same.
You get to see MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate chipset.
It provides a score of 4,40,000.
It has 8GB RAM.

So if you only want performance, then this mobile phone is better value for money because you get the same performance in less than 6,000 rupees.

If we talk about PUBG, you get ultra frame rate on smooth and balanced.
HD is high which is basically what you expect from G100.

One more thing I would like to add is that one thing that I am very happy about is that this mobile phone has a lot of AI features.

Tecno AI was available on Camon 40 Pro but because this mobile phone is coming in Rs 60,000 price tag, so according to that price range, this phone actually becomes the best mobile phone right now with all these AI features.

You won’t find better AI features than this in Rs 60,000 range.

AI Features

First thing is that it comes with Ella Voice which is essentially their assistant.

To be very honest, if you talk about assistant then I prefer Google Assistant.

But the amazing thing about this mobile phone is that it is the only phone in this price range which comes with DeepSeek R1 built-in and this is completely free and it is already installed on your mobile phone.

Apart from this, you also get Ella Smart Touch which is basically a one-tap solution.

You can use this solution in this mobile phone.

If there is any picture then it comes on the side and it can essentially tell you the context of that picture.

So if you see any text in the picture then it automatically gives you this option on the side and when you click on it, it analyzes the entire picture.

Not only does it pick up the text but if there is any other thing, like for example, if you see here then in this picture, you are saying that there is no text but in the corner you can see the box of this mobile phone on which you can see Camon’s C-A-M-O while analyzing it, it has also picked that.

So it works very accurately.

There is a reason why I am praising its AI so much.

Apart from this, there are many other features of AI.

I am going through it quickly so that I don’t waste your time.

If you are interested in AI, then you can see the call assistant.

It can transcribe your call and it can also translate.
Basically, it can record your call and keep it in text form so that you can read it later.

If you forget who you spoke to then it can solve it better.

Basic translation is also available in Urdu language.

Apart from that, there is social assistant, document assistant, writing assistant, AI note taking — basically if you want to make a note of anything then it can do it through AI.

Recording summary, if you are saying something or if you are sitting in a meeting then it can automatically make a summary.

AI wallpaper generator, circle to search in more, then smart accelerator.

There are many AI features and if I sit here to explain each one then this video will become very long but these are all the features that you get in Camon 40 Pro.

Software and Updates

If you talk about software then you get to see Android 15 in this mobile phone and Tecno is now promising at least 3 years updates.

So that’s a good thing that you get to see the software upgrades.

It will come to see how fast Tecno provides updates but at least they are promising that updates will come.

Camera Details

Apart from that, if you talk about camera situation of this mobile phone then things are interesting here.

The reason is that on the back side you get to see 50MP Sony sensor and apart from that, two cameras are essentially your ultra wide angle camera and one is your flash sensor and the other is your 2MP sensor.

The thing that I liked the most is the ultra wide angle camera because in this price range, you generally get three camera solutions.

Ultra wide angle camera is the first camera that the company eats and there are three camera designs on the back but ultra wide angle camera is not one of them.

In video mode, you also get 2K video recording option.

The back camera is the same as the Pro one but the front camera is 32MP.

And because the back camera of both the phones is same and there is a difference in the front camera, so let’s take a picture of both of them so that you can see which one looks better.

To be very honest on this one, the picture of the non-Pro version looks more natural while the Pro version has more HDR.

But as far as the resolution of the image is concerned, both the phones are very close.

And I can’t say that I prefer the Pro version.

So if you were spending Rs 6,000 just because you are getting a 50MP front camera then I don’t think so that you can justify Rs 6,000.

Final Verdict

The AI Extender mode is also available through which you can extend the pictures.

This feature used to be a novelty and now it is coming in other phones.

But as I said, the amazing thing about Tecno is that they have added all the features in this video.

I didn’t say anything that you won’t find in any other phone but in the range of Rs 60,000, no other phone provides all these features.

So in that sense, it is amazing that they have added all the features.

Before this, I think there were two phones of Rs 65,000 or Rs 66,000 which had similar features but because it came in Rs 60,000 it has become the cheapest.

AI Eraser is also available here and apart from that, there are 5200 mAh battery and 45W charging.

All in all, if I tell you my opinion then to be very honest both these phones are amazing value for money devices.

And I know that Tecno is doing all this and that is the reason that there are flash snap buttons on the side which you can use if you want to take a picture fast and when it pulls anything then it stops it in the air which we already tested in the Pro version.

I didn’t talk about it in detail but it is similar on both the phones.

Final opinion is that if you want a flat display then go for the non-Pro and if you want a curved display then go for the Pro version.

Apart from this, the differences between IP66 and IP69, Panda Glass vs Gorilla Glass, or Front Camera 32 vs 50, I think that they won’t make much difference in your real life although on paper, they look big.
